The Science of the Senses

Play with your food and experiment with your senses in Taste Test, a five week summer program. Learn about the factors that affect flavor, explore how your senses work together when you eat, and understand why each person’s unique genetics influence their tasting experience. Using culinary tools, dive into the complex world of molecular gastronomy to create bubbles out of grape juice and turn fruit into spaghetti. After visiting labs at the Science Center where real-world scientists study taste perception and smell, you’ll have the chance to design your own experiment and present it to the Science Center community.

Taste Test is 2 hours, once a week for 5 weeks.
